About Jeffrey Alger Webster, NY
Holding membership with physical education and fitness-based organizations like SHAPE America, American Alliance for Health, and National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, Jeffrey "Jeff" Alger recently concluded a four-year stint as athletic director at North Tonawanda City School District in North Tonawanda, NY. In his role as athletic director, Jeffrey Alger oversaw a NY-based athletic program comprised of 32 teams and collaborated on a $20 million capital improvement project to improve athletic fields. He also participated in design discussions for a new gymnasium, two new baseball fields, and six tennis courts.
Jeffrey Alger previously held administrative roles pertaining to physical education with Schoharie Central School District and Waterloo Central School District. He served as a physical education teacher with Webster Central School District from 1997 to 2010, during which time he also coached varsity and junior varsity wrestling, football, and baseball in the town of Webster and neighboring areas.
In 2010, Jeff Alger earned the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance's (NYSAHPERD) Amazing Person's Award and, four years prior, was a nominee for the NYSAHPERD Jump Rope for Heart Coordinator of the Year. He holds a master's degree in education from Nazareth College and a bachelor's degree in the subject with an emphasis on physical education from State University of NY.
